160 | COSERE Tasks of supervision: • 1) To provide a regular opportunity to reflect, analyse the content and process of their work; • 2) To develop an understanding of work, new skills; • 3) To receive information and other views concerning one’s work; • 4) Receive feedback on both the content and the process; • 5) Receive approval and support as a person and as an employee. It is clear that if the situation, problem, or question that has arisen is not related to the methodology of the subject, the management of lessons, and the classroom management systems used, then the problem should be brought to the supervision group or an individual. If, after the lesson observation and analysis of the lessons by the mentor, there have been specific recommendations for use, which the new teacher himself sees and evaluates, but also in the next lesson observation, it can be seen that the problems have not changed and there are the same situations, then after the lesson evaluation, the situations analysis, there is an agreement on individual supervision. It does not always bring results - for the teacher’s actions, if the identified situation or attitudes require longer-term support and solution systems, which are not possible when working with students in parallel, but then it is clear to oneself that it is a matter of therapy, which is then the teacher’s own choice and the future solution. Teachers must be able to form small support groups with their colleagues to solve problems, using methods at an already conscious level, knowing why and how to use them. Group sessions give teachers a sense of support, ideas and solutions, and examples from the practices of others to gain encouragement for professional challenges. And as a result of all this, the teacher, aware of what and why he does at school, knows how to teach, knows how to explain his teaching practice, knows how to analyse his work and direct his growth! An individual supervision session helps to find solutions more effectively and quickly to situations related to the awareness of a new teacher’s own experience and the possibilities of using resources. Individual supervisions develop reflection skills and help to see how to solve problems with your own resources, using the support of others, recommendations.
