COSERE | 49 We believe that such digital tools as those listed above are the key to effective resource sharing and collaborative lesson planning. Educators lead busy lives, and with the scheduling issues that operating within a fixed timetable can create, it can be difficult to regularly and reliably get a hold of one’s collaboration team of 3-4 peers at the same time. As such, the use of a platform where each individual can contribute their input from wherever, whenever they have the time, has obvious benefits. Hands-On Planning Session: Now that you’ve been exposed to some best practice tips and tricks, try to find 1-4 peers to trial collaborative lesson planning with. Use the template and some of the tools provided (expanding or editing both as you wish) and aim to produce 1) a comprehensive lesson plan for one class, and 2) a “utility belt” of collaborative resources that you will use to exchange ideas and stay abreast of developments. Reflection and Feedback: As a group, reflect on the collaborative planning experience. Provide and receive feedback on the effectiveness of the process.
