100 | COSERE 2.5. Conflict management. Different types of conflict can occur in school places; the motivations, the roles of the people involved. the tools with which to manage and prevent them also differ depending on all these elements. Conflict is an inevitable component, not always easy to manage and not always resolvable. Teachers and school leaders should, therefore, have sufficient knowledge to respond to it and manage it, but they do not always know how to do so. Since living in conflict environments threatens the well-being of those involved, we offer to present ways to recognize, manage, and prevent conflict episodes, creating a healthy, respectful, and beneficial school climate and culture. These may be knowledge we all have about conflict, but understanding its essence can be crucial in order not to think in generalizations, but to understand what the individual components are that constitute it.
